The main requirements on the design of shaking table

The shaking table is important gravity concentration equipment for sorting fine ore; ore grains have evident zonage on table surface and multiple products can be drawn at the same time; the enrichment is high, high grade concentrate and exhaust tailings can be obtained once, therefore, shaking table is widely used in the gravity concentration plants.

The shaking table design mainly includes bed head, bed surface, supporting device and slope control apparatus. Bed head is the transmission mechanism driving bed surface to do reciprocating motion with the following roles: 

1. Make the ore particles on bed surface loosely layer, so that the mineral particles of large density drill through the gap between coarse mineral particles of small density to be segregated to the lower layer; 

2. Send the large-density mineral particles that fall to the lower layer to the concentrate end. 

The movement of bed head is divided into symmetrical and asymmetrical two types and asymmetric type is used commonly. There are the following main requirements for the design of asymmetric head movement: 

(1) The reciprocating motion of bed surface caused by bed head should be conducive to the loose delamination of ore grains; 

(2) To make the bed movement asymmetrical—slow in bed surface advancing and fast in drawing back so that the mineral particles of large density move from the driving side to concentrate end; 

(3)Enable the acceleration of bed surface movement to be greater than the critical acceleration of mineral particles in the bed surface; 

(4) Bed head should be easy to adjust and maintain. 

In addition, when design slimes shaker bedside, bedside movement asymmetry should make heavy minerals easy to be handled, and prevent the slimes to be overly loose.
